Oh the glory of a free market economy... Yesterday the United States Census Bureau released the numbers for U.S. retail and food service sales for the month of February. These sales decreased .6 percent (+/- .5%) from the previous month. With all this talk of a recession creeping in on our economy its hard not to take notice of a figure like this.

Now I am unable to speak for the whole surplus sector, but in an off the top of my head estimation I believe our sales are up. Why?
